End of an era

My 9yr old is a little put out with us. A neighbor with a 3yr old agreed to take our old swing set off our hands. We got it when our oldest was 3.

In a real life case of “this will hurt me more than it hurts you,” I’m a little sad to see it go too. Mostly because it means that my kids aren’t so little, but also because my brother-in-law did most of the work putting it together and putting it up. He’s been gone six years now. This swing set was a reminder of him and his love for us.

What kinds of things is it hard to let go of and why?

When is it okay to let go of things?
